Education

I have an MSc Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and am currently studying postgraduate philosophy at the University of Leuven. I completed the IB in Sweden with Economics, History, English and Swedish as higher level subjects. I have previously worked as an English language teacher at Berlitz.

Experience

Hard work pays off, even if it is only for yourself through the knowledge that you tried. My international experience means that I am comfortable with several educational environments, and in particular with the IB and with Belgian, Swedish and British schools and universities. My 2015 GRE test scores landed at the 98th and 87th percentiles for analytical writing and verbal reasoning respectively. As a balanced individual, I will contribute to the study skills of average to high performing middle, high school and university students.

Hobbies

I enjoy writing non-fiction and travelling to discover new cultures or to visit my friends, who are spread out internationally. Football (soccer), skiing and running are amongst my favourite sports. I have volunteered for Amnesty International, Students for Free Culture and the One Campaign. I am fluent in English, Dutch and Swedish, and I also understand French. Subjects that I particularly look forward to teaching include government and political science, history, economics, European studies, philosophy and theory of knowledge. I will also improve your daughter or son’s essay writing skills and can help with basic math and science subjects. I have a caring personality, I work methodologically and I am always prepared. Students that require a patient but demanding tutor will benefit from time with me. For me, tutoring is all about knowing the curriculum, being ready to explain things clearly and concisely, and about asking the right questions to the pupil.
