Education
My alma matter is Portland State University. There I received a Bachelors of Science in Communications. I have two secondary areas of focus within my degree: world communications, and environmental science. I also participated in an exchange program where I attended classes in Rhode Island at both the State school and Brown University. I do not posses a degree or certificate from these schools, as it was part of a voluntary program. However, I was able to see the difference in teaching styles between Ivy League and State universities. I am currently enrolled at the VUB as part of the masters program in linguistics and literary studies.
Experience
I lived in Brussels for one year before as an au pair where I taught english to small children. I think I would be more beneficial teaching to a slightly older crowd, as I understand some of the difficulties learning a new language as an adult. Some times I can be direct, but I am extremely easy to get along with, and enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment.
