Education
I graduated from ANU with a Bachelor of Science, Majoring in Human Biology and Minoring in Science Communication. In high school I undertook the International Baccalaureate with higher level Biology, Chemistry and Philosophy and standard level English, Maths and French. I have also completed a three-day course in teaching english as a foreign language for pre-school age children.
Experience
From 2016 to 2019 I worked as a tutor for high school and university level students with a variety of academic abilities. I specialise in offering a whole-program approach for struggling students, getting them back on track, organised in their studies, and confident to take tests. As I majored in Human Biology during my time studying at the ANU, am able to tutor chemistry, biology, psychology and ecology to a high level. This includes helping with essays and project work. I have experience working with students on their test-taking skills, practice exams, and helping them to become more familiar with mark schemes. When my students need more comprehensive help, I can work closely with both students and parents to draw up an action plan to help the students with essay-writing, organisational issues, and study skills. I am also able to assist in crafting applications for university including editing personal statements.
